OPTIO® SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH SOURCE4
ATLANTA, GA, April 2, 2002 - Optio Software, Inc. [Nasdaq NM: OPTO], a leading provider of software that captures, transforms and delivers information and data to allow automated processes, today announced a certified value-added reseller partnership with Source4, a national company providing integrated business and technology solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Source4 will package Optio technology as a complement to its document management, technology and consulting services that focus on healthcare, financial and manufacturing markets.
Optio's MedEx™ software solution suite with HIPAASmart™ technology
will be offered in conjunction with consulting solutions that Source4
delivers and implements. The MedEx software suite interfaces with hospital
information systems to allow administrative and clinical personnel to
create and securely deliver documents via web, print, email and electronic
format across the patient-care continuum. MedEx builds in the flexibility
and security to comply with HIPAA regulations while enabling greater patient-care
processing efficiency for the end user. Using the Optio solution, healthcare
organizations can leverage their existing IT investments without additional
custom programming.
